When using our iOS and Android App, AfriCallShop upload users’ Contact List information to https://www.africallshop.com/ in order to improve your user experience:

  • show the prices of call, SMS and the Airtime for each contact
  • Make it easier to use the app using your phone’s contacts

Phone SMS and Calls history:

When you make call or send a SMS, in order to improve your user experience, we log this data in our database.

Email address and phone number:

To take full advantage of this app, you need have an account created with your email address and a valid phone number.

Bluetooth Devices:

Our application asks for authorization to use bluetooth device. Indeed, if you have to call using a bluetooth device, this authorization is necessary.

Phone State:

Under certain conditions, we need to know the state of your phone (status of your calls) in order to authorize our application to make or receive calls.

Access to your phone storage :

For the proper functioning of the AfriCallShop application, we need to access your phone’s storage. Example: accessing the ringtone file when making calls.

Note : the data collected when you are using our app (iOS, Android or our Website) is only used by AfriCallShop and is not transmitted to outside companies and entities. We do not sell the data that is collected.

What data are processed?

AfriCallShop processes the following categories of data:

  • Email address and Phone number:

When you register, you fill in your email address and your phone number, which will be your identifier for the Service.

  • Contact’s list:

When using the service on an Android/iOS terminal, a request to read the contact book of your terminal will be issued by AfriCallShop. The app upload users’ Contact List information to https://www.africallshop.com/ in order to :

    • process and show the prices of call, SMS and the Airtime
    • improve your user experience
  • ID data: In addition, when using AfriCallShop, your IP address will also be collected
    • Facebook app user ID: An identifier for a person who uses Facebook As a Service Authentication
    • Google User Id: An identifier for a person who uses Google As a Service Authentication
    • Apple Advertising ID (IDFA): An identifier for a person who uses Apple As a Service Authentication
    • Location data: Based on the IP address, only as part of its fight against fraud.

SMS terms

To use AfriCallShop, you need to register a phone number. By entering your number, you agree to receive mobile messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Excluded numbers

Some countries are excluded numbers or AfriCallShop because of their high cost per minute. These are often premium numbers, satellite or numbers which rates are higher than the average rate in the country.
